we’re on a trip
i’m in surubaya, indonesia, with 15 of us from Hillsong. most everyone on the trip/team is a current college student. and as i write this, i’m listening to some taylor swift, civil wars, and maybe even a little justin beiber.
tonight, we got to lead worship at an event where 100% of the proceeds
went to help with a building project for an orphanage here. the lady that
started the orphanage got up to talk about it at the start, and as she was asked to share things, one of the things we found out was
that she’d used all of her retirement money to buy the land for this
orphanage, which started either in 88 or 98. i can’t remember. i’m pretty sure i saw God’s very heart embodied in this lady.
what an unforgettable night.
