Over a year ago, Tyler Reagin and Meghan Quinn Arias both started TWITTERING. And I was like – what the heck does that even MEAN? Tyler tried to explain it to me, and I thought – oh my goodness, I’ve only been gone for a year, and I suddenly don’t have a clue. He was basically talking another language. Who knew they were so ahead of the curve?
Then last August or so, John and Sue Saddington told me I should get on Twitter.
And my first response was – NO.
My 2nd response was – WHY?
My 3rd statement was – I’d be addicted, and I don’t want another thing to make me waste my time.
I knew it was quickly taking over.
I get the phenom.
I’m not entirely opposed to it.
I’m not Bitter at Twitter nor am I a Twitter Hater, but Shaun Mowrey and Daniel Lai both heard me say – Twitter is completely unnecessary and is for stalkers. I was both kidding and serious. HA. Let’s be honest here. If you’re on Twitter, you know you totally stalk people. If you’re offended by that, you’re the worst kind of stalker there is… the kind who doesn’t even KNOW it or worse… the kind in HIDING!!! Totally [NOT] joking.
Anyway, Daniel thought I was genuinely angry and was sufficiently bothered by my statement. Shaun made fun of me, and I made fun back.
But isn’t it just like xanga, only you have to say it in 140 characters or less?
Well, during Colour Your World (Hillsong’s Women’s Conference, only so much more), I decided it might be worth signing up now and getting a name I like before its taken. I figured since Hillsong Church and Brian and Bobbie Houston are on it all the time, it might be beneficial to know what our church and pastors are twittering.
So for now, I have not 1… but 2 accounts.

Maybe when I get an iPhone one day, I’ll join in on all the fun and begin twittering. Twittering.
In the meantime, I now have 2 accounts, both completely unnecessary.
Oh, and I’m sure I’ll start unnecessarily stalking, I mean… following you all, too, but I’m holding out for just a while longer…

i totally convinced some austin friends to recently sign up b/c “i had to know what they were doing all the time.” hahaha…at least i’m not in denial. =) ps. have you seen who dc*b follows? hilarious!

no. i don’t know who they follow. i’m not yet actively looking to follow anyone. just decided to follow hillsong and brian and bobbie stuff, plus a few extra for now. believe it or not, i haven’t started fully stalking, since i just created my accounts. i was joking that i am CURRENTLY stalking. the stalking will one day commence, as it is inevitable with this sort of thing.

seriously- i just started twitter account! ha. was inspired after colour b/c Bobbie spoke about it and that she thought it might be a good tool to put out prayer requests like for Uganda, etc. So i thought it may be good if used well!??? time will tell

i must say though you prolly get more out of it if you live in a city like hmmm, NYC.
it’s really awesome for underground artists that are always on the go to connect with their ‘fans’ and even big-time celebrities will be interacting too! and who doesn’t want to rub shoulders with DIDDY?! haha i kid.
yes, a bit stalker-ish…but why else do you think everyone is on their iphones/blackberries all the time?? hehehe. u KNOW ppl have nothing better to do during their 9-5!

hi! i totally twittered for couple of months, and i really like it too just for like the random thoughts and points that people put up. BUT. i am lenting from it right now (including fb and gchat) and ITS GREAT! im not scatterbrained i dont have add during work when im checking it all the time.
i dont think im going back
for now. heeeh

its just hilarious b/c they chose every celebrity under the sun and then i guess their close circle. thought you would get a kick out of it…

jane/tony – i’m not a twitter hater or bitter at twitter. that’s why i said i wasn’t. oh my word. haha.
sue – i said i haven’t done much of that yet, b/c i JUST joined. plus, that’s one of the reasons i was turned off by the idea in the first place. plus, i’m sure everyone and their aunt follows some of the same ppl, seeing that a lot of the celebs are on that initial list that pops up when you join.
anyway, i genuinely think twitter IS completely unnecessary. we obviously went our entire lives without it until now. i just thought, just like email and cell phones, you might as well get an account, b/c obviously everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and b/c it might be one of those things that if you’re not on, would be the equivalent of living in the 20th century.

ok first of all…this is a very cool blog…i love it!! as for twitter Ji just give in…i think it’s a lot less time consuming than facebook…unless you use it for stalking then perhaps not!xxoo
